Seam is built privacy-first. Seam does not collect any data.
When you add clips to a project, Seam copies them into the app's private sandbox so your originals are never modified. All trimming, reordering, transitions, audio, and export happen locally using Apple's AVFoundation frameworks. Finished videos stay on your device until you choose to save them to Photos or share them yourself. Deleting a project deletes its copied media from the app.
Seam requests a single permission: add-only access to your Photo Library, used solely to save your finished video. Seam never requests read access to your photo library (clips are chosen through Apple's system picker, which runs outside the app), and never requests the camera, microphone, location, contacts, or any background or tracking permission.
In App Store terms, Seam's privacy label is "Data Not Collected." Seam does not collect, store off-device, transmit, sell, or share any personal data or usage data.
Seam collects no data from anyone, including children.
If a future version of Seam introduces any feature that collects data or connects to a network, this policy and the App Store privacy label will be updated before that version ships.
